Deciding that someone you love needs professional care is never easy. It can bring many questions, worries and uncertainties.
How do you find the right care home? Who takes care of the necessary paperwork? How will communication work? What happens if something needs to be arranged after your loved one has moved in? And who will be there locally when the family lives hundreds or even thousands of miles away?
That is where we come in.
Our role is not simply to help you find a suitable care home abroad or the right live-in carer. We aim to become a reliable long-term point of contact for you and your loved one.
From your first conversation with us, through the entire admission process and beyond, we support you every step of the way.
Every situation is different, and every family needs a different level of support.
Our aim is to take care of as many of the organisational and administrative tasks as possible, allowing you to focus on what matters most: your loved one.
We help you choose a suitable care home or type of care, taking into account your loved one’s health, personal wishes and the family’s budget.
We communicate with care homes, assist with the preparation of necessary documentation and help with administrative matters.
Depending on the individual situation, we can also provide support with health insurance, communication with authorities and, where eligible, applications for care-related benefits or other available support.
For clients who are not citizens of the European Union, we also provide assistance with visa matters, residence permits and other documentation required for legal residence in the relevant country.
If required, we can also help organise the practical side of the move, including flights, transfers and other arrangements connected with moving into the new home.
In many ways, this is where a new stage of our relationship begins.
Unlike a simple care placement service, our support does not stop once your loved one has moved into their care home.
We remain in regular contact with the client, their family and the care home. We support the settling-in period, help with questions or individual requests and remain available whenever assistance is needed.
Families can receive regular photographs and updates about how their loved one is doing. Where necessary, we also help facilitate communication between the family and the care home.
If something needs to be changed, arranged or clarified, we help with communication. Whether the matter concerns care, administration, a personal request or another situation, we work together with the care home to find an appropriate solution.
We understand that everyday matters can become more difficult to organise when a loved one is living in another country.
Language barriers, different regulations and communication with local authorities can create additional pressure for families.
That is why we remain your point of contact on the ground.
We act as a link between the client, their family, the care home, doctors, health insurance providers and relevant authorities.
We help overcome language barriers, assist with administrative matters and support communication so that the entire process can run as smoothly as possible.
We approach every client with the same care and attention that we would want for someone in our own family.
We listen, look for solutions and provide support when unexpected situations arise. We understand that moving to another country for long-term care is a significant step, not only for the person moving but for the whole family.
That is why we do everything we can to make sure you do not have to navigate the process alone.
Our most important goal is for your loved one to feel safe, comfortable and at home, while giving you the reassurance that distance does not mean losing connection.
Instead, you gain a reliable local partner who remains there for you and your loved one throughout their stay.
We have personally visited every care home we recommend.
No hidden fees and no unpleasant surprises.
We are here for you before, during and after your loved one moves in.
We carefully select places that offer both a good quality of life and high-quality care.
We help you understand the different options and find a solution that suits their health, needs and budget.
